Terms of service
The agreement between you and Rep-AI. Plain language, and no clause here means something different from what it appears to say.

This agreement
These terms govern your use of the Rep-AI desktop application, website and dashboard (together, “the service”). By downloading, installing or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of this agreement.
Your licence to use Rep-AI
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the service for your own interview preparation and interviews. You may not resell it, rent it out, or make it available to others as a service.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the application except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
Your account
The free tier needs no account. If you create one, you are responsible for the activity that happens under it and for keeping access to your sign-in secure. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Plans and what they include
- Free — the full application, running on API keys you supply. No account, no minute limits from us, and you pay your own providers directly for what you use.
- Pro — $10 per month or $100 per year, including 5 hours of interview time per month on keys we provision, plus cloud session sync. Additional time is available to active subscribers at $3 per hour and does not expire.
Interview time is measured per session and rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes. Sessions run on your own keys never consume it. The full mechanics are set out on the pricing page.
Billing and refunds
Purchases are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as merchant of record. Paddle is the seller for your transaction, issues your invoice and handles sales tax, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your dashboard; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which you drop to the free tier. Prices may change, but not for a period you have already paid for, and we will give notice before a change takes effect.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Because the service is digital content made available immediately, starting a managed session within that window may end that right. Outside of it, contact support@repai.dev — if the product has not worked for you we would rather refund you than argue.
Recording, consent and your responsibility
This is the most important clause on the page, so it is not buried.
Rep-AI processes the audio of a live conversation, including the other participants' speech. In many jurisdictions — including several US states, most of the EU, and elsewhere — recording or processing a conversation requires the consent of everyone taking part. Separately, an employer, hiring platform, university or certification body may prohibit assistance during an interview or assessment, and you may have agreed to such a policy.
You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of Rep-AI is lawful and permitted where you are, and for obtaining any consent required. We provide a tool. How and where you use it is your decision, and the consequences of that decision — legal, contractual or professional — rest with you.
We are not liable for any claim arising from your use of the service in breach of a law or policy that applies to you.
Acceptable use
You must not use Rep-AI to:
- record or process a conversation where doing so is unlawful, or where consent is required and has not been given;
- impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications or authorship in a way intended to deceive;
- breach a confidentiality obligation, or process material you are not permitted to disclose to a third-party AI provider;
- break, probe or overload the service, or attempt to reach data that is not yours;
- share, resell or automate access to managed keys beyond your own use;
- do anything unlawful, or that facilitates something unlawful.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, and will normally tell you why.
Your content
Your CVs, projects, prompts, transcripts and sessions remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to store, process and display that content back to you so the service can work — nothing broader. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.
Third-party providers
Rep-AI depends on third-party AI and speech-to-text providers. On the free tier those are your own accounts, governed by your agreements with them; we are not a party to those and are not responsible for their output, availability or charges. On Pro we route requests through keys we provision, but the underlying models are still operated by others.
AI suggestions are generated text. They can be wrong, outdated or inappropriate for your situation, and they are not advice. You are responsible for anything you choose to say.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you and you may cancel for a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
Termination
You may stop using Rep-AI at any time and delete your account from settings. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any unused paid period.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that transcription will be accurate, that suggestions will be suitable, or that the overlay will remain undetected by every current or future third-party software.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost opportunities, earnings or employment outcomes. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
Governing law and the courts with jurisdiction will be confirmed once the operating entity is finalised. If you are a consumer, this will not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
